A 4-step guide

From zero to a decision basis in 60 seconds

You need no prior knowledge. No login. No credit card. Just trade and district — we show you the rest.

Four steps

  1. Pick trade and district

At the top of the home page you'll find a simple form with two dropdowns: your trade and the district or state where you want to start.

We currently analyse 20 trades (hairdresser, baker, hospitality, beauty, pedicure, butcher, roofer, gardener/florist, plus 12 more), for 9 states and 23 Vienna districts. New trades or regions? An email to [email protected] is enough — we add them on demand.

  2. Read the density signal

On the results page you see immediately: how many businesses there are in your district and how many per 10,000 residents. The colour shows you at a glance whether the market is full, medium or empty.

A raw number isn't enough — a hairdresser in 1010 Innere Stadt (2,400 residents) stands in a different position than one in 1100 Favoriten (200,000 residents). That's why we always calculate per 10,000 residents and compare you against all other districts.

  3. Check trend and movement

Density alone is just a snapshot. The 13-month trend shows you: is the market growing or shrinking? The churn indicator shows: how often are trade licences newly registered or handed back?

A full market with high churn can be easier to crack than a quiet, stagnant one — because seats regularly become available. The sparkline on the results page shows you both signals side by side.

  4. Decide

Now you have everything: competitor count, density per 10,000 residents, 13-month trend, churn indicator and a comparison against other districts in your state. That's your decision input.

Take these numbers into your next conversation with a tax adviser, the WKO founder service or the AMS founder programme. Or order the Pro Report (€49) for a complete analysis with 12 months of automatic updates.
