The analysis below is not a marketing illustration. It's the identical demographics panel that runs on every trade page, fed with the current GISA snapshot for hairdressers in Vienna (2,075 active businesses). Honestly: what is NOT in the package
The official GISA export is anonymised. You won't get the names of individual traders from us — you'll find those via the company register (justiz.gv.at, €3.50/extract) or NorthData. We show patterns, not people.
Company revenues cannot be derived from open data. If you need that, Compass.at or an auditor is the right address — not us.
We deliver data, not decisions. Whether you found a business is up to you. For individual advice the WKO founder service is free and professional — we are the data layer before it.
What we can show: postcode concentration, chain-formation patterns in dense districts, Gini index. What we cannot show: which concrete owners are behind a chain (owner IDs are missing from the open dataset). For ownership structures: the company register via justiz.gv.at.
These limits aren't deficits we're hiding — they're deliberate. A tool that promises everything usually does nothing well. We do one thing well: per-trade demographics from open data, current every month.
A note from the people behind it
I built this tool because I asked myself: how many hairdressers are actually in my district — and how old are they on average? For me personally the answer was several evenings with a huge CSV file, Python scripts, and the realisation that nobody answers this question in finished form.
The package isn't perfect — some features are still taking shape, the time series won't be truly deep for another two years. But it is honest, verifiable, updated monthly, and it gets better every month. If you're in early, the package grows with you over your 12 months.
